Le 1 er single de Taylor Gang's Finest aka Wiz Khalifa est arrivé!
Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas bien Wiz, il est sans aucun doute le jeune MC le plus populaire des States.
Flashback: Wiz sort la tape Show and Prove en 2006, puis il fut un des premiers de sa génération a sortir un track a influences "electro" avec Say Yeah, ce qui lui permettra d'entrer dans les charts. En 2008 il sort le projet Deal or no Deal avec les singles This Plane et Red Carpet. En 2009 on retiendra sa collaboration avec Currensy pour la tape How Fly. Enfin cette année il est revenu avec le tres soul Kush & Orange Juice dont les titres The Statement, Never Been & Mesmerized tournent encore beaucoup. Dernièrement,Cameron Jibril Thomaz, de son vrai nom a gagné leMTV 's 'Breakthrough MC of 2010' avec plus de 200 000 votes, devant Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, Travis Porter et Diggy Simmons. Il a ensuite décliné une offre de Rick Ross pour être signé sur Maybach Music et son dernier coup d'éclat date de 2 semaines lorsqu'il a décliné l'invitation de Drake pour faire l'ouverture de sa tournée américaine (Wiz a de toute manière une tournée nationale bien remplie (Waken Baken Tour). Mais le Pittsburgh représentant tout de tatouage vêtu s'est d'abord fait connaître par sa musique nonchalante et décomplexée et son amour pour Mary Jane et s'est désormais avec Atlantic Records et Rostrum Records, qu'il sort ce 1er single extrait de son album à venir.

Kendrick Lamar est un jeune artiste sur qui je vous conseille de garder l'œil bien ouvert. En 2009 il fait surface avec un EP 15 titres éponyme en téléchargement libre ainsi que quelques vidéos sur la toile. On ne peut pas vraiment dire que les compteurs de téléchargement ou de vues sur youtube s'affolent mais le natif de Compton à l'univers musical aérien et jazzy se fait tout de même remarqué par les puristes pour son talent et sa démarche artistique. Son nom tourne à présent de plus en plus sur la blogosphère rap worldwide. Dernièrement il a sorti quelques bon titres tels que Rare Breed ou For The Homies (en écoute ds le player) pour annoncer la venue de son prochain projet "OD" prévu le 15 septembre prochain. Stay tuned.

et oui LA sensation Drake nous livre son 1er single officiel "Over" et ..(roulements de tambour)
Et bien pas grand chose. Le titre n'est pas mauvais mais pas extraordinaire non plus.. le refrain est du type traitre, a prendre avec le temps mais je pense tout de même que dans l'ensemble il va falloir que Drake vienne avec plus lourd que ça pour faire l'unanimité.
Etant donné l'énorme anticipation qui entoure le tout de même très talentueux Drake je vous laisse vous faire votre propre opinion.

First Slaughterhouse was just a song with hungry MCs spitting with fury. Without necessarily knowing it these rappers had more in common than just bars. All of them were known to have great mic skillz, all of them have more or less had a shot at celebrity but none of them really had a career. This may change now
Of course I'm speaking of disturbed Joe Budden, Joel Ortiz, Royce da 5'9" & Crooked I who now form supergroup "Slaughterhouse" which is arguably the best rap group of the moment. No gimmick, Dope Beats & very sick bars could be a good way to describe their style. we like it a lot here @ TTB so here is the new dope track/video of their upcoming album + a few links to previous great sounds of theirs

Au départ 'Slaughterhouse' (abattoir) n'était qu'un morceau ou 4 MCs (j'oublie volontairement Nino Bless) n'avait que pour seul objectif de faire de la boucherie (comme son nom l'indique) en l'espace de 24 mesures.
Sans forcement le savoir ces 4 artificiers avaient beaucoup en commun. A savoir beaucoup de talent, une longue histoire mais une petite ou pas de carrière du tout.
Il s'agit évidemment de Joe Budden, Joel Ortiz, Crooked I & Royce da 5'9" bien connus pour leur aptitude a découper tous tous ce qui fait Poom Poom Tchak. Ce 1er titre a donc bientôt donné lieu à un 2ème puis un troisième en passant par plusieurs freestyles radio jusqu'à ce que l'évidence ne soit plus contestable: Slaughterhouse est un groupe de rap et probablement même le meilleur du moment.
L'alchimie fonctionne à merveille et surtout cela fait tellement plaisir d'avoir un group de rap ou chaque membre sait rapper!.. Et de quelle manière?!
Vous l'aurez compris ici il ne s'agit pas de gimmick ou d'image à outrance mais bien de skillz.
A TTB on est fan. L'album arrive bientôt alors restez à l'écoute.

Last week I was rehearsing my set for our party with Dizle who was cool enough to take time to teach me the basics of Djaying. By the way the kid is talented and foremost he got a great hip hop culture and a bad ass music library! No joke. One day he received an e-mail from a radio guy in the States asking him if he did the "Jeru the Damaja mix". Obviously he didn't since he told me "yo E I just need to do this one thing quick". So he basicaly improvised a 40+ min mix of Jeru material and recorded it live. The mix is simply Banging! The selection, The cuts, the mix, everything folded perfectly like it had been ready for a while just waiting to be recorded. I was impressed and he got that and told me "You haven't suscribe to my podcast? You missing out!" indeed I was missing out!

It was just a few months ago Jay-Z was telling us how Brooklyn goes Hard and now he give us even more evidence on how they do it with this killer track literally killing Auto-tune. That's right Jay goes at Kanye & Weezy latest music toy and also T-Pain very own signature and annouces the death of auto-tune...
In an interview Jay explains he adresses the topic in order for Hip Hop to move forward.
Hov also mention Kanye, T-Pain & Weezy as being the few great with it among millions of uninspired wack MCs.. I'm glad he's the one taking on this subject.
This track is the street single from the much anticipated "Bluprint 3" album dropping September 11th.

Asher Roth is this kid from Morrisville rapping about the young middle class college kid life that is his.You got it he's doing him without faking and of course if we post about him it's because the boys goes hard. The new track "Lark On My Go-Kart" is simply dope (you can listen to it in our music player >>) and I believe his album "Asleep in the Bread Aisle" is definitly worth checking when it comes out which is in a month.
